This immersive workshop offers an incredible opportunity to learn from masters of street photography while capturing the rich culture, dynamic street scenes, and timeless moments of Nepal’s most significant festival.
In the ancient cities of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur, nestled amidst the majestic Himalayas, a unique opportunity awaits all photography enthusiasts and storytellers alike. We would like to invite you to unlock the magic of visual storytelling. This transformative journey will transport you to the heart of Nepalese culture, where every corner unfolds a captivating tale. Embark on this photographic odyssey in Sep 2025, and immerse yourself in the vibrant streets of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur, capturing moments that transcend time.
We will walk the back lanes of Kathmandu, visit the stupas, the ancient temples, enjoy the local cuisine and also take a full day tour to Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is often referred to as Bhadgaon and Khwopa and has a mix of Hindu and Buddhist population. This city is located around 12 kilometres from the capital city of Kathmandu and is divided into three squares, each of them filled with temples and other religious structures.
Itinerary:
- Day 1-3: Kathmandu Streets – Explore the diverse and bustling streets of Kathmandu, with a special focus on Dashain’s vibrant celebrations. Capture the energy of the festival as families gather, temples are visited, and colorful processions fill the streets.
- Day 4: Bhaktapur Day Trip – A full day excursion to Bhaktapur, where you’ll experience a more traditional side of Nepal. The architecture, festivals, and rural atmosphere offer a unique opportunity to capture timeless moments.
- Day 5: Kathmandu Streets and final presentation– Final review of your work with Vineet & Rohit, receive personalized feedback, and discuss the artistic process behind street photography. You will leave with a stronger portfolio and new insights to apply to your future photography endeavours.

What do you need :
You don’t need a fancy DSLR or lenses, I will be happy to work with the equipment you already own. A smartphone will also do. So any camera that takes pictures, a film camera will also do, as long as you can develop and share the photographs with me.

1. What is included in the workshop fee?
The fee covers the tuition and photography instruction provided by Vineet & Rohit Vohra. It does not include accommodation, meals, travel, or any other personal expenses. If you need any assistance or hotel recommendations, please mail us and we would be happy to help you.
2. Are there any prerequisites for this workshop?
The workshop is open to photographers of all levels. Whether you’re a beginner looking to improve your skills or an advanced photographer seeking to refine your craft, you will benefit from the hands-on guidance and personalized feedback.
3. Do I need a specific camera for the workshop?
No, any camera that you’re comfortable with will suffice, including smartphones, mirrorless, or DSLR cameras. The key is to learn how to make the most of what you have.
4. What should I bring to the workshop?
- A camera (smartphone, mirrorless, DSLR, or any camera you prefer).
- A notebook for taking notes.
- Comfortable walking shoes, as you’ll be exploring Kathmandu and Bhaktapur on foot.
- Appropriate clothing for the weather (Kathmandu can be chilly in the mornings and evenings, so pack accordingly).
- A portable charger or extra batteries for your camera.
5. Will transportation be provided for the Bhaktapur trip?
Transportation to and from Bhaktapur will be arranged for all participants. Details and extra charges will be shared closer to the event date.
6. How much walking will there be during the workshop?
Expect to walk extensively through Kathmandu and Bhaktapur’s streets, so please come prepared for long walks in busy urban environments.
7. Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?
Refunds are not available for cancellations after 15th Feb 2025. However, if you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to someone else.
8. Will I get feedback on my photos?
Yes, Vineet and Rohit will offer personalized feedback on your images throughout the workshop, helping you refine your skills and develop your unique photographic style.
9. Is the workshop in English?
Yes, the workshop will be conducted in English.
10. How do I register for the workshop, and what is included in the registration fee?

Participants are requested to make their own hotel bookings for all days. Participants are responsible for their additional personal expenses.
